Tuberculosis can kill!

On Wednesday, 17 October 2007, Sister Nel came to visit us at Prince Albert Primêr. She told us about Tuberculosis (TB). She even showed us what an X-ray looks like of a person whose lungs have been damaged by TB. We learned that the warning signs of TB are: night sweats, losing weight, coughing and weakness. She told us that if someone gets TB they MUST finish their medicine and that they must take it for 6 months. She warned us about the new TB that does not react to regular TB drugs.

If you know someone with TB make sure they take their medicine. If someone you know has any of the warning symptoms tell them to go and see Sister Nel at the Prince Albert Hospital TB clinic.
